Leading the way in Auction 93 was a Russia 1714 2 Ducats graded NGC VF 30 (lot 1012), which realized 660,000 CHF (about $765,000). The NGC Census lists only two examples of this issue, and this particular example is pedigreed to Count Emmerich Hutten-Czapski. According to the auction house, this rare coin, which shows Russian Emperor Peter the Great, has only appeared at auction twice in the past 60 years.

The top lot in Auction 94 was an Italy 1928R VI Gold Oro Prova 20 Lire graded NGC MS 63 (lot 1964), which realized 480,000 CHF (about $556,000). The coin, struck by the mint alongside its silver counterparts, was issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the victory in World War I. Unlike the silver coins, it features some unique minting variations, including the addition of ORO PROVA on the reverse, which signifies that it was not intended for general circulation. Only 15 pieces are thought to have been produced, and they were distributed exclusively to high-ranking state officials, according to the auction house.

Finally, Auction 92 was led by a Buwayhid (AH341-372) 5 Dinars graded NGC MS 62 (lot 14), which realized 276,000 CHF (about $320,000). It was issued during the reign of Adud al-Dawla at the height of the power of the Buwayhid Dynasty, which controlled much of modern-day Iran and Iraq in the late 10th century. The design includes a creed and prayer and is likely a donative coin.
