NGC Announces Coin Grading Seminar at the 2026 World Money Fair in Berlin

Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) is excited to host a full-day NGC Grading Seminar at the 2026 World Money Fair in Berlin, marking the first time NGC has offered a comprehensive educational program of this kind in Europe. The seminar will take place on January 30-31, 2026, in Estrel Hall C5/6, and is designed for collectors and dealers who want a deeper understanding of authentication, grading standards, designations and variety attribution.

Participants will spend the day working directly with NGC experts, studying real coins and learning how to recognize key diagnostics that define accuracy and consistency in grading. The curriculum provides in-depth understanding of authentication, grading, designations and variety attribution.

The seminar will be taught by Ben Wengel, NGC Chief Grader and Senior Vice President of World Coins, who has firmly established himself as one of the industry’s foremost authorities on world coins. A top expert in attribution, authentication and grading, Wengel has written extensively on counterfeit detection for NGC and has conducted numerous educational seminars around the world.

To accommodate schedules, NGC will offer sessions on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on each day. Both sessions cover the same material, and applicants should select only the date that works best for them.

The seminar will be conducted in English only. Due to limited space, preference will be given to Authorized Dealers, paid collector members and individuals interested in career opportunities at NGC’s Munich office. Applicants will only be selected for one session.
