Rare Parthian Coin Certified by NGC Ancients Offered in Auction

More than 140 coins graded by NGC Ancients are part of Roma Numismatics’ March auction.

Over 140 ancient coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are being offered in Roma Numismatics Limited’s Auction XXIII. Online bidding is currently underway for the sale, which will be held March 24-25, 2022.

The top NGC Ancients-graded lot is a Satraps of Parthia, Andragoras c. mid-3rd Century BC Gold Stater graded NGC Ancients Ch AU★, 5/5 Strike and 4/5 Surface with Fine Style (lot 398). The coin, from an area that today is part of eastern Iran, has an estimate of £35,000 (about $46,100).

  • Roman Empire, Augustus 27 BC-AD 14 Gold Aureus graded NGC Ancients Ch XF, 4/5 Strike and 2/5 Surface (lot 817), with an estimate of £15,000 (about $19,800)
